Bridgeland Homes for Sale

Bridgeland, originally a development of General Growth Properties, is now a development of Howard Hughes Corporation.   The 11 original builders chosen for the community were Highland Homes, Wilshire Homes, David Weekley, David Weekley Imagination, Meritage, Trendmaker, Village Builders, David Powers Homes, Hallmark Design Homes, Darling Homes, Perry Homes, Partners in Building.  When complete Bridgeland should have approximate 21,000 homes.  Three custom home builders have Ronny Carroll Custom Homes, Tommy Bailey Custom Homes, and Masterpiece Homes have constructed homes in Bridgeland.

New homes are available from the low 200s to 800s.  Current builders include:  Perry Homes, Chesmar Homes, Lennar Homes, M/I Homes, Beazer Homes, CalAtlantic Homes, Coventry Homes, Westin Homes, Meritage Homes, Ravenna Homes, Village Builders, Trendmaker Homes, Taylor Morrison, Toll Brothers, Darling Homes, David Weekley Homes and J. Kyle Homes.

This community features a welcome center where you can visit and learn more about the amenities of the community such as walking trails around the communities lakes, two activity centers with pool and splash pad, sports fields, tennis courts, disk golf course, lakes stocked with fish for catch and release fishing, bird watching, non-motorized boating, swim classes, swim teams, tennis camps, full kitchen with meeting rooms, and fitness center.

Initially there will be a minimum of 4 villages which will each have their own character and housing options.  Presently, single family homes are being built, but in the near future, there will be patio home and town home options available.

Additionally, each village will have a community center where residents will have easy access to convenience services and community parks.  In fact, the community parks are place within a quarter mile of every home in the community.  Many of the amenities are modeled after the very successful The Woodlands development that Howard Hughes Corporation participated in.

Ultimately the development will cover an area roughly the size of one quarter of the area inside of the 610 Loop and will straddle the new Grand Parkway.  Also planned is a Town Center including a shopping mall similar to what is in The Woodlands that will be located on the Grand Parkway a few miles South of Highway 290.  Also in the Town Center will be office, retail and dining and entertainment options.

Bridgeland was developed to provide as many homeowners as possible with lake or wilderness views and to limit the number of homes that back up to busy thoroughfares.  Furthermore, the power lines have been buried to preserve the views and sight lines.

Bridgeland offers a lifestyle up to now unavailable in Northwest Houston.

Bridgeland is located in unincorporated Harris County in the extraterritorial jurisdiction of the City of Houston just South of Highway 290 West of Fry Road and North of Tuckerton Road.  Ultimately, Bridgeland will extend beyond the Grand Parkway.

 

Bridgeland is served by the Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District, otherwise known as Cy-Fair ISD.
